Accounting Specialist job description

Summary

The Accounting Specialist will maintain financial records for accounts payable and accounts receivable.  In addition, the role will include working closely with the accounting team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure compliance.  The role will also handle payroll and sales and use tax reporting in addition to other responsibilities assigned.  The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment along with NetSuite and QuickBooks experience.  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment utilizing technology platforms and problem solving.

Responsibilities

·   Set up new vendors and customers in NetSuite and QuickBooks

·   Process invoices and vendor payments and perform accounts payable close out procedures

·   Prepare vendor reconciliations

·   Process accounts receivable invoices

·   Work with vendors to resolve billing discrepancies.

·   Enter and track payroll data

·   Post journal entries

·   Other duties as assigned by management

Skills

·   Must have knowledge of financial statements, the ability to investigate problems and make corrections, and address inconsistencies in entries, documents, and reports.

·   Exceptional Microsoft Office skills, highly proficient with Excel

·   High degree of accuracy and attention to detail required

·   Ability to change direction

·   NetSuite and QuickBooks experience required

·   3+ years manufacturing accounting

· Good writing and verbal skills

 Compensation

Starting wages based on experience
